Unlock your Smart Device
Sometimes, we forget the password to our android device and
as a result we get locked out of our smartphone which will be frustrating.
Actually, there are several ways of doing it such as; The use of software's, phone manipulation or wiping off of phone data.
This DIY tutorial is aimed at helping us out whenever this
kind of awful instance occurs.
However, this is used for educational purpose and it should
by no means be used to harm other humans.
Enough with the talking, lets get on the go;
For Samsung user {although can work on some other Android device also}
so, this is the phone in question, it has been locked using the usual convention "Phone Pattern"
1. Power the phone off
2. Power it ON again but this time by holding the UP "volume button" then, press and hold the power
button
It will pop-up a screen like this
Then, press the menu key
The phone then come on with an Android system recovery
utility
Then, select using the volume key “Wipe data/factory reset
Then, press the RECENT KEY left button (the one beside the
menu button)
An option menu will appear this way:
Then, select (Yes
----- delete all user data)
Then, press the menu button
Then, the phone will start wiping off
After the phone has been wiped off completely, "Data wipe complete" will
appear on the screen;
Then on the menu list, select “reboot system now”
viola you are done.
NOTE: Using this method will wipe away all your personal data.
For Android 4.4 or below
For lower version of Android device like 4.4kit-kat or below. The following step is very quick provided your internet connection is ON or you are connected to Wifi source
Once you find out that you are locked out of your smart phone
and you have several times to unlock the pattern but all to no avail.
Once you tried 5 times and it doesn't work. A countdown timing will pop-up on the screen on your phone telling you to re-try in 30 seconds
Before the timer finish counting, select "FORGOT PASSWORD" at the downward right-side of the screen.
Then, this screen will pop-up asking you to login your google account (email address)
Once you logged in. The security settings on your phone will automatically reset, asking you to chose the security/lock screen type you might like.
Then, select NONE or SLIDE.
and viola! you are done
